Manjuba Nu Rasodu (Kitchen on Wheel)

Shrimati Manjulaben Kamdar was always keen on feeding hungry people and always wanted to make sure that no one should sleep with empty stomach. She was born in 1936 in small town named Limbdi and then came to Ahmedabad. Since the beginning she worked for the community with humanity and cared for every possible smallest person around her. She tried to work with limited resources and big heart towards humanity with motto “NO ONE SHOULD SLEEP HUNGRY” 

Manjulaben Kamdar passed away in 2008, but to make her memories alive and keep her remain lifelong in everyone morals and thoughts her son and daughter-in-law started working for the community and helped many needy people in various ways. 

But to keep her ultimate motto alive “NO ONE SHOULD SLEEP HUNGRY” become inspiration source to invent food truck (kitchen on wheel). To make her name memorable food tuck is named as “Manjuba Nu Rasodu”

Manjuba Nu Rasodu is created for serving fresh hot & hygienic meal to all needy people at their doorstep.

There are number of generous Organisation and people do serve food to all needy people, but “Manjuba Nu Rasodu” concept is working towards uplifting social dignity and giving feeling of equality to all needy/unprivileged community people by inviting them to come and have fresh hot food at their doorstep, to give them feeling that they don’t have to beg for food, but they can eat with dignity. This is more towards breaking blockage of begging and feel respected.

The concept includes a small invitation pamphlet which is been distributed in the shortlisted area before one day of food truck reaches there and then the food is being served to them, hence it is more like pre invite to all that community or area people and welcome them to come and have fresh hot and hygienic food at “Manjuba Nu Rasodu”
